Gary Shelton, DVM with Horse MightyDr. Gary Shelton is a 1985 graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine and a 1981 graduate of the University of Florida College of Agriculture. He and his wife Nena have a small farm in Elkton with cows, horses, and dogs. For over 30 years, Dr. Shelton has practiced veterinary medicine on the pets and farm animals in St. Johns, Putnam, and Flagler counties. He has a special interest in surgery and orthopedics in dogs and cats, as well as equine medicine and surgery.

Dr Shelton is President of the Board of the Flagler Humane Society, Dr. Shelton is also a founding member of the St. Augustine Regional Veterinary Emergency Center, a co-op after-hours emergency hospital for the region's dogs and cats.

His hobbies include horseback riding and exploring new places.

Jennifer Lockwood, DVM with Dog MabelDr. Jennifer Lockwood, our Chief of Staff, has been a part of the Shelton Family since 2014. She is a native of South Georgia and graduate of the University of Georgia. She enjoys both small and large animal medicine with a special interest in small ruminants and camelids.

Dr. Lockwood and her husband enjoy their home in St. Augustine along with their two dogs and cat. Her hobbies include camping, water sports, ATV riding and going to the beach.

dr stephanie watko and horse 200pxDr. Stephanie Watko graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 after completing her clinical year at Oregon State. She is originally from Connecticut. An avid traveler, she has participated in veterinary volunteer work in the Caribbean, Central America, and South Africa. She is interested in surgery and large animal medicine, especially equine.

Dr. Watko shares her home with two rescued island dogs, Kalia and Samoa, along with two guinea pigs. She enjoys running, hiking, and riding her Thoroughbred, Reace, in her free time.  

Dr. Shruthi Ganesh, DVM with dog, RaniDr. Shruthi Ganesh grew up in Ashburn, Virginia and currently resides in Palm Coast, Florida. She received an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and earned her DVM degree from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Her special interests include surgery, along with small and large animal medicine, such as small ruminants, cattle, and chickens.

Outside of work, Dr. Ganesh enjoys powerlifting, spending time outdoors with her chihuahua mix, Rani, and cheering on the Virginia Tech Hokies!
